Leroy Brown and 9 ½ Questions

Question 1
Kid Kalin (KKK):  Who is Leroy Brown?
Leroy Brown (LB):  Born of the 1st of November 1987. I was born and bred in Narooma and come from a family of 12 where I had to fight for my food. I am going to be a Boxing Champion.

KKK:  What inspired you to become a Boxer?
LB:  I was hassled by bullies and at the same time Ziggy's boxing gym opened up in Narooma, I went there to learn fighting skills to teach them a lesson.

Question 3
KKK:  What is your career to date?
LB:  Represented Australia as captain of the team at the World Championships in Morocco 2006. Turned Pro 2007, up to now two fights two wins.

KKK:  What is your typical training day?
LB:  Training three times a day, six days per week. Running in the morning (on the beach, sprints, road running 10km). Midday body toning, weights and stretching. Evening boxing gym work, (bag pads, speed ball, sparring and learning boxing skills).

KKK:  What do you do for relaxation?
LB:  Listening to music, having a good massage, relaxing in the spa and just being lazy.

KKK:  Preparation 24 hours before a fight?
LB:  After the weigh-in eat lots of food (carbohydrates), have a good night's sleep and listen to music. In the morning I have a nice relaxed walk and do some stretching. The rest of the day just relax.

KKK:  Who are your favourite boxers in Australia?
LB:  I've got a few favourites, Mark Morgan, Shannan Taylor, Kostya Tszyu, Jeff Fenech and Anthony Mundine.

KKK:  Boxers in the world?
LB:  Tyson, Floyd Mayweather, Oscar De La Hoya.

KKK:  Favourite food?
LB:  The T Bone Steak at the Raw Prawn Bistro at O'Brien's Hotel in Narooma, it is big and juicy.

KKK:  Favourite drink?
LB:  Bad Boy Power drink (Energy drink).

KKK:  Favourite music?
LB:  Most music in general, R & B and Hip Hop. And the song, BAD BAD LEROY BROWN!

Question 8
KKK:  Fights or titles coming up?
LB:  Wagga Wagga on 21 July, New South Wales State middleweight title.
Melbourne on 25 August, Chris Collard..
September, to be confirmed.
December 1st, Big Fight Night in front of my home crowd.

KKK:  Where do you see yourself in the future?
LB:  Climbing right to the top, always giving a hundred per cent.
