Of Brit Hitman . . and Kostya?

THIS is Ricky Hatton hoisting himself on the corner pad in the Las Vegas Paris Hotel at the weekend to address the crowd, after reclaiming his IBF light-welterweight title by a wide points decision over Colombia strongman, Juan Urango.

The Brit 'Hitman' spent a year in the welterweights since he took the 10-stone title from our Kostya Tszyu in a rough and tumble battle nearly two years ago. Now back at the intermediate weight, Hatton (according to the MMG agency) "found a way to win over Urango, even if it wasn't pretty at times."

On the Las Vegas card, Jose Luis Castillo, ex-lightweight champion, took a split decision over NABF light-welter champ, Herman Ngoudo. Mexican body puncher Castillo is booked for a June showdown with Ricky Hatton in Vegas.

# In Sydney last week, a reliable boxing writer called us checking the re-warmed rumour that Kostya Tszyu plans a comeback. If KT were to glove up - and we hope it's not so - a return with Ricky Hatton would be easily the biggest attraction.

Ricky's younger brother, Matthew Hatton was on the card at Paris Las Vegas, with an easybeat. He stopped Frank Houghtaling for the vacant IBF ' International ' Welterweight title.
