CHAD Dawson's southpaw uppercut was part of the kit that took the WBC light-heavyweight title away from Tomasz Adamek in Florida at the weekend. Bad Chad won the battle of the undefeateds (Adamek 31-0, Dawson 22-0) in 12 hard-fought rounds. In two title fights Adamek had edged Australia's Paul Briggs.

JULIO 'Kidd' Diaz of California gave Jesus Chavez of Texas a thumping in three rounds on the Florida card, that left the Kidd IBF lightweight champion. Diaz hooks the ducking Chavez, above . .
