Chris cleans the slate

CHRIS JOHN

CHRIS John put Jose Rojas down in round two and round four, and breezed to a 12 round decision, retaining his WBA featherweight title in Jakarta on Saturday night.

Two judges had the swift moving champion ahead by ten points and the third judge scored him by six points.

Rojas had been the only man John failed to beat. In December 2004 a John v Rojas head clash was declared a technical draw. The return match brought up “the Dragon’s” 39th win.

Chris John’s Perth trainer, Craig Christian sent his amateur star, Billy Kickett off to a smooth pro debut. Kickett stopped Paul Sabon in round three of a scheduled sixer.
