Hard shake, Hussy

Hussy Hussein

Another blow of Fate falls on Hussy Hussein. "Hussy is in bed with a fever," big brother Billy told us last night. "He can't go on Friday night against Glenn Donaire, to secure a WBO shot.

"We cancelled Donaire just before he stepped on the plane."

Penrith Panthers' headliner was to be Hussein versus the US based Filipino, Glenn Donaire. The winner would mount a mandatory challenge to the WBO flyweight champion, Omar Narvaez.

With the WBO avenue blocked, said Billy Hussein, "We hope the WBC Convention [in Phuket this week] will order Hussy a final eliminator [with whoever they rate 1]. The winner to fight Pongsanglek Wonjongkam."

Again? After that first hard 12-rounds in Bangkok?

"Hussy is desperate to prove himself," said Brother Bill. "He has no choice."
